Our Story
A Passion
Our story starts in 2009 with Jeff; a small business entreprenuer in Austin, TX. After owning and operating multiple successful small businesses across several sectors, he was decided to take his passion for the firearms industry and start a small gun store - out of a car shop he owned and operated.
Expansion
After a few short years, the business aquired a location on a main road in Round Rock, TX. His eldest son returned from university and began working with him to build up the business further. His son had learned some basic programming skills and was able to streamline sales processes and expand their online presence.
Father-Son Dream-Team
His son started working at a local cybersecurity company while continuing to work with Jeff in growing the family arms business. With Jeff's networking and sales experience and his son's technical skills, the two grew the business rapidly. They were able to secure direct relationships with multiple global manufacturers and cultivated relationships with law enforcement agencies around the country.
Family Tragedy
During 2020, in the height of the pandemic, Jeff was diagnosed with cancer. He moved himself and the business to a small ranch outside Austin to focus on health and healing. Despite the business operating in a limited capacity, it was able to continue to run simply based on the number of repeat customers and the friendships that came from it.
Loss
In 2024 Jeff passed away, sucumming to complications due to his fight with cancer. His service was well-attended by many customers-turned-friends. Jeff received full military honors for his service and the State of Texas even flew a flag over the capital in his honor. His son, Chris, decided to carry on this business in his honor.
Continuing the family business
Today, the business is owned and operated by his son, Chris. He has worked in the firearms industry for 15+ years now and 6+ years in the cybersecurity industry. Now in a senior position at a top cybersecurity company and the owner/operator of Guardian Defense Solutions, Chris has been able to grow relationships with Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement and Government agencies across the country. This combination of skills and passion reflect daily in the company.
